I moved to London on 2 May 1992 - so the thirtieth anniversary of that historic occasion has been and gone too. (I remember on my first week in London passing a newsstand and seeing Dietrich’s face plastered across the front cover of every newspaper and instantly knowing: that must mean she’s died!).
