Filippovka Burial kurgans . ⚫The Filippovka burial ground, located in the Orenburg region of Russia. ⚫The cemetery dates from the late-5th or early-4th century BC. and contained 29 kurgans (burial mound) of varying size. ⚫The most significant burial is a huge royal kurgan , it revealed an extremely rich male burial dating to the 4th century BC. ⚫It was filled with many items including a cast silver container with a lid, a gold pectoral, a wooden box, cages, glass, silver and earthenware bathroom flasks, leather pouches, and more. ⚫The archaeologists also uncovered equipment used in the art of tattooing, including two stone mixing palettes and iron, gold covered needles, as well as bone spoons used to blend paints and pens decorated with animals. ⚫The burial belongs to the Early Sarmatian culture of the southern Ural region and provides significant information on the cultural origin of the southern Ural early nomadic population. . .
