starkercrossedlovers:ironfamdaily:Iron Man (2008) dir. Jon FavreauOk but I was literally thinking about this scene today and how much it must mean to dum-e that he’s a “good boy”. Like, how many times has he messed up and made Tony smoothies with motor oil or knocked something over in the lab? He’s not a super advanced AI, but he does seem to display basic emotions—comparable to a toddler is my guess—so he sees his “dad” struggling to reach the old reactor and grabs it for him and then waits to see if he’s gotten it right. He did.And there’s a reason in IM3 Tony fishes him out of the ocean after the Malibu house is destroyed. Because that’s his child, and maybe he’ll always screw up, but that’s the way Tony made him and even if he does screw up, he got it right when it counted. -- source link
