Grand Central Depot opened in 1871. Cornelius Vanderbilt, America’s first great tycoon, once said about the Grand Central Terminal look and feel: “People who come to New York should enter a palace on the end of their ride, and not a shed.” On the second photo you can see one of the sculptures by an artist Jim Rennert. It’s part of a 3-figure series portraying ordinary people on a work day. This one is called - Listen, which “invites viewers to pause and reflect amidst the ever-changing and fast-paced world around them.” If there is one thing that this very odd and difficult year has taught us, it is that taking time to pause and reflect about our lives and routines is of utmost importance.
