So I have some super neat news! The well known Poppin’ Cookin’ kits by Kracie are in English now! I’ve only seen a few kits (sushi, doughnuts, bento, ramen and ice cream) but it’s a start! This will hopefully help make these more accessible for people in the States ✌︎(‘ω’)✌︎ This specific kit I found at a candy store called Lolly and Pops This was super fun to make. I loved making the noodles and pressing the gyoza. And while I’ve never really had a problem following the picture directions on these kits, it was nice to be able to read and understand them in my language. So how did everything taste? The ramen was good as far as flavour. The noodles were vanilla flavour and the broth was cola so it tasted like Vanilla Coke! My only problem was the texture. The noodles were weirdly realistic which made me wish they were warm… The gyoza and spring rolls were the same ingredients. The white outer layer was the same weird gel as every other kit and it had an unusual texture and a slight ramune flavour. The filling is melt in your mouth soft and super tart which makes them really good! It’s like crumbled sweet tarts and I love it. The mango pudding actually tastes like mangos and custard. It’s sweet and exactly What I would expect a mango pudding to taste like. It still had an unusual texture but it was oddly good Honestly, this was by far my favorite candy kit. It was so fun to make and the best tasting of the ones I’ve tried. I hope you have an opportunity to try these as well! -- source link
