Mogadishu at dawn, shot from the roof of the Peace Hotel 2, where we were staying. Just two years ago taking this photo would have been suicide, with snipers hidden all over the city. Even today, it’s risky and I took most of my rooftop shots from behind a wall using a remote control and a tripod. -- source link
