Coprinus comatus commonly known as a Shaggy Mane or Shaggy Ink Cap. The two mushroom pictured are at different levels of maturity. As time passes, the mushroom digests its gills from the gill-edge upwards in order to increase spore-releasing gill surface area. You can see the mushroom starting to liquefy into a sort of “ink”.
