The Memory tree is a massive tree in the middle of the hedge maze, faces of those who have fallen visible there. The challenger could even see their own face whenever they ‘die’ in-game, like a death count. Leshy’s face is there and he can talk- just unable to move nor have the strength to grow out of that damned tree. The challenger has to carve his face out of it, leaving them with a wooden mask of Leshy which is his face. Not so different to his original model, ya know. A talking mask.
