We are installing new living sculptures in the entrance area to our offices. They were designed and produced by the same guys that do all the amazing glass things for Apple. The glas cylinder will be filled with water-like liquid, that behaves a bit like oil and slows everything down. They’ll breath through the tube that goes into the ceiling. They will serve in there for shifts of 6 hours and then be replaced by a new slave. And the way that happens is the best part: The glass cylinder slowly retracts into the floor, taking the liquid down with it, while the girl, standing on a grit, does not move at all. When the cylinder is down, she can move her arms, unplug the air tube and attach it to her replacement. Then the still completely filled cylinder moves back and submerges her in water. In the cylinder they can move an inch her and there, but it is restricting enough so that they can’t lift their arms up.I am so excited to finally see it in action soon.DxD -- source link
