Arbuckle is credited for discovering Buster Keaton. He was one of the most popular slapstick comedians until the fateful day when he had a party in a hotel and a young actress was murdered there. Arbuckle was accused, but never given a chance because Hollywood gossip columnists condemned him. After 3 trials he was finally acquitted. But his career was lost.
