More in #myartthenandnow series — cherries! The 2013 cherries were one of the earliest food paintings I posted on Tumblr, and they still have a special place in my heart. I’ll be honest — seeing how much my approach has changed was surprising to me! I remember being really interested in the shadows and reflected lights then, and I was obviously still fascinated by that in 2018, but the color has definitely gotten more complex and the level of realism has increased.
