strangebiology: ellis-deigh-blog: This guy raised an abandoned moose calf with his Horses, and believe it or not, he has trained it for lumber removal and other hauling tasks. Given the 2,000 pounds of robust muscle, and the splayed, grippy hooves, he claims it is the best work animal he has. He says the secret to keeping the moose around is a sweet salt lick, although, during the rut he disappears for a couple of weeks, but always comes home…. Impressive !! MINNESOTA CLYDESDALE Hallmarks of a fake post:-Seems like the perfect viral story: cool animal, weird circumstance, makes you laugh and think. Yet you’ve never heard of this before! -it’s a really well-framed photo, almost like it was intentionally designed -no source -story doesn’t line up with the photo: if he’s off during the rut, he should be off when the picture is taken, because his antlers are rut-ready Anyway this shop job is pretty good, but looks sorta off at first glance and when you pay more attention. Both piles of logs are the same, the lighting and resolution on the moose and the person don’t quite match, and the harness doesn’t seem nestled in the fur. Definitely fake. Cute story. But what I love is the follow-up where someone dissects this and proves it false. That to me is true brilliance. -- source link
