The light was laying perfectly on this woman’s face when I was on a walk today. She saw me taking photos so I went over and asked if she’d like to see - she looked at it and said she knew I was a professional photographer from the way I looked at the scene for a minute before I started photographing. Though it was a simple comment, it was really nice to be acknowledged as a professional instead of an amateur or hobbyist. Recently I’ve felt a battle with being taken seriously as a photographer, artist and businesswoman. I know she probably didn’t realize it, but she made my day.
