It saddens me that some viewers feel that Kitty’s character & storyline were, quoting them, ‘pointless’ & 'crap’ that detracted from the show and its 'preferred’ focus on Holmes & Watson. She changed & expanded the dynamic, that is needed to refresh things anew with new development. -- source link
