ezibota: Something Larger than Us | Deana BolumbuFor the past two years, Paul Jarvis, designer and author, has done a state of the union of his business. I really like the format and want to do the same to share about Ezibota and community chats in 2017.First I’ll recap what all we did last year and then move on to what we want to accomplish in 2017.What went well last yearLive conversations. I am proud of the Ezibota community for continuing to host live video conversations that engage members of our community. We had a great group of members who led the Ezibota Roundtable for half the year. These members dedicated their time once a month to having conversations via Google Hangouts. Conversations ranged from passport privilege to discussing African comedians. I got to interact with the Roundtable members, whom I learned more about throughout the year.Individual growth. I would say this was a pretty tough year for the team. Losses, unforeseen events, and more. But we made it through and I’d say we came out on top.
