Taako is a thin elf with brown skin and an extremely long, blond braid going down his back to his knees. He wears a black vest over a purple shirt, gray pants, and a purple wizard hat with a teal underside and a star hanging off the end. Lup, in her lich form, has a black body, with the bones of her arms shown in white and a skull over the top half of her face. Her long, voluminous hair appears to be made of yellow and orange flame, and she wears a red cape. The comic first shows Lup and Taako facing one another, as Taako nervously starts, “Am I…” A close-up on his face shows him with tears running down his face as he says, “I’m not going to lose you again.” Lup looks sad and tearful, then presses her forehead against Taako’s as he starts sobbing. “Never–never again, bud,” she says. She then kisses his forehead. There is a close-up on her as she says, “Please don’t die.” Finally, the last panel shows both of them in full.
