here is a club invite I designed waaaay back in 1989 . I was inspired to use a wide angle lense since seeing Capt. Beefhearts record named ‘kalaidascope” from the late 1960′s . I commisioned the photographer Michael Lavine in 1987 , styled and art directed this shoot to be used as our press photo and for invite designs . This gig was at the legendary House and Hiphop NYC club The World ! I mailed the photos to ID and interview magazine and they both printed them to my sheer delight.
