1. Thank you so much for your kind comment!!!2. Yes, the printed comic will include the Valentines story! I think it helps explain how Jon and Colin know each other and also acts as a sort-of intro to Colin for fans of Supersons who don’t know who he is. I don’t have a mailing list because I am terribly disorganized but I will post info about the book on my tumblr. I just sent it off for printing, so once I get the proof copy and everything looks good, I’ll open Superkiddos up for preorders :)3. Hmm, not sure! If I continue the Superkiddos series the focus will first be on Colin and then on kids closely linked to the Supersons first (Maya, Kathy, possibly Maps??) I like Billy in Young Justice (Cartoons) and Injustice (comics) but I don’t know him too well! Perhaps he and Colin would get along since their alter egos are both “adults.”4. The official stance on Superkiddos is that it’s a gen/pre-slash story that can go either Damicolin, Damijon, or have them all be best buds depending on what you prefer. The future is limitless! I always liked the banter between Dami and Jon (Jon isn’t scared of Dami like the Teen Titans) but I also think the easy way Colin handles Damian’s crazier actions (as opposed to fighting with him over it) is just as important. I personally lean more towards Damicolin just because the superheroes are so closely tied to their cities– they get together every once in a while for Justice League stuff, sure, but their everyday duties revolve around their city and its people. Batman’s tie to Gotham will probably be the hardest for Dami to accept, as he was raised elsewhere and believes the world is his oyster. Becoming close friends with true Gothamites like Colin would help him be a better Batman (to Gotham.) Becoming close friends with someone like Jon would help him become a better hero (to the world.)5. I read a lot of manga growing up! I had a lot of original characters and stories in my head and so I spent a lot of my childhood trying to get them down on paper (either through writing or through comics.) My advice is to be kind to yourself. Even if the art doesn’t look like what you imagined in your head, don’t be afraid to keep going. I improve pretty slowly over time as opposed to having an “aha!” moment from looking at tutorials or anything… so I know how it feels to think that nothing’s getting better. It can get pretty discouraging when it looks like everything I draw will be the same no matter how I try, but in hindsight just drawing over and over helped me improve. Good luck! -- source link
