CALORIE DEFICIT You started eating “healthier” food but your weight isn’t moving? You’re counting calories and your weight isn’t dropping down? You stopped eating all your favourite snacks and still no change?Here’s what’s happening - either 1) you’re not in the calorie deficit and you’re eating same amount of calories as you were eating “unhealthy”or 2) you’re in a calorie deficit and it’s been 3 long days which feel like 3 months, and you think you deserve to see some changes on the scale for all your suffering and let me tell you 3 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks are not enough.First of all, you should count ALL the calories. All of them. Like literally everything which goes into your mouth. Surprise surprise - 1 tablespoon of olive oil is 110 cal, and many times we don’t count it with our rice. It’s just the rice. And then we don’t count something else, and it adds more into our daily intake and then we’re wondering why the weight isn’t changing. Second, it takes time. On average it takes 90 days to see stable results. Calorie deficit isn’t as drastic as diets, it works in a gentle and healthy way, and you won’t see the results in 5 days. You need to be patient on this one. As I always say to my clients - once you master you calorie intake and how to manage calorie deficit you won’t need me anymore, you’ll own it.
