ONE PIECE OF ADVICE Yesterday I had a conversation with a person who just joined a gym, and once he heard I work in fitness industry he asked me one great question - “If out of all things you could give me only one piece of advice, what would it be?” And for me that would be consistency. No matter what happens, just go back on track. We as human beings have this tendency to sabotage our new beginnings, it’s hard, it’s out of our comfort zone, you literally suck when you start, this feeling that everyone is watching and judging you, and you’re there right in front everyone’s eyes all awkward, clumsy, and miserable thinking about how hard it is. You start going to the gym, you’re under physical and emotional pressure, and then something like life happens and you realize you haven’t been to the gym for a week. And then I mean for whatever reason people think they can lose all their progress in one week, and they don’t come the week after, and then it becomes a month, and then of course you screwed up everything. And then until next time which can be next year. Or better never again. And here is when my advice comes in - you should go back on track, even if you skipped few days or few weeks, go back on track. Even if it feels awkward - go back on track, it should feel awkward and challenging, you’re learning new skill, and your brain and body are adjusting to that. Remember once you’re back on track you’re gaining so much more than you can even imagine. You lose the battle but win the war. Once you’re out - you lost the battle before it’s ever fought. #consistency #onlinefitnesscoach #motivation (at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CW3teTMLOrU/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
