HOW TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF Last week I shared a post about motivation and my mixed feelings towards it. How many times we think about motivation and where to find it, and how to get it, and how many times we lack it, and it fails us. The message behind my post was that many times we seek motivation, think about it, and even watch or read some inspirational stuff how to change our life forever, once and for real, and we then we forget about one small detail - we forget to act. Usually it happens like this: if I don’t have enough motivation, I would’t even bother to act. Why? If I lack motivation now, imagine what would happen if I start doing something or acting with zero motivation! Of course it’s a road to failure, - that’s how I would typically think, and sit still waiting for the special moment. I always use this example with brushing teeth - when you were little, you had zero motivation to brush it, and then your mom pushed you, for some of us it was less struggle and pain, for some more, and look at us now - we don’t even think about it too much, it got integrated into our daily routine. And here comes the tricky part - the more action you will perform towards your goal, the more steps you will take closer to it, the more motivation you will get.
