Yes it is only a few days until November and I’m still harvesting food from my garden. I have no idea why but the gardening gods have smiled upon me this year and blessed me with warm weather, abundant free sky water, and a bountiful harvest. I am grateful even when I’m not sure what to do with it all. I have quite a few jalapeno peppers, an insane amount of these long skinny ones that I can’t remember what they are and a handful of sweet bell peppers that never got very big but are still delicious. And while this looks like quite a few peppers this is just the few that I picked on my way between taking care of the birds and taking care of the goats early this morning in the rain. There are many many many more out there to be picked. In an effort to figure out what the long skinny peppers were I tasted one while I was still in the garden. Don’t do that. I regretted that decision immediately. I like hot spicy food but that thang was just angry. That was a while ago and my lips are still burning. Learn from my mistake and don’t try the unknown peppers when you’re in the garden and far far away from anything that could make the burning stop. I would like to say that I’ve learned my lesson but 10 to 1 I’d probably do it again because I just don’t regret it as much as I ought to. Have a happy Monday my friends.
