Since it’s past 12am EST, it’s my birthday! I’m 35 today, which kind of boggles my mind. It’s also my first birthday I’m celebrating as a trans man, as I work towards transitioning to a gender that better fits who I really am. It’s a big change and a long journey, but the testosterone will help slow my joint deterioration from the EDS, which is a major bonus. I’m hoping that as I put on muscle and the joints stabalize, that I have a chance at dancing again. But for now, I’m grateful to have reached 35, happily married, en route to my PhD, writing and making art daily, and finally being true to who I am. I hope my other #spoonies will want to support me through these changes.
