#027.5 - While young, Sandshrew live in deep underground burrows in arid locations, emerging only to hunt for food. If threatened, they will instantly roll into a ball for protection. As they age, their brick-like hide grow tough spikes that offer them increased protection, giving this timid Pokemon the confidence to spend more time above ground; some adult Sandslash can even be found nesting in trees! Maturing Sandshrew willl still roll up into a ball, but will instead roll around and attack foes with their sturdy spikes. If anything happens to their spikes and claws, they can quickly regrow them.#027.5A - Sandshrew have historically lived in desert areas, but frequent eruptions of nearby volcanoes drove Alolan Sandshrew into the snowy mountains, where they evolved to thrive in this new environment. These Sandshrew have a shell of ice covering their skin, which is hard as steel. Their heavy hide slows them down and prevents them from curling up, but greatly increases their defense. As Alolan Sandshrew evolve, they begin to sprout sharp, steel-like spines from their back, which overtime get covered in hard, sharp ice. Their long claws prevent slipping on the tractionless ice, and also help to dig pathways through the deep snow.Named: Sandshrew - Sandspike - Sandslash ⓘ- - - - - - - - - -Follow for more In-Progress Pokemon evolutions!FAQ | Social Media | Pokemon Index | Commission Information -- source link
