I had high hopes for the Digimon Adventure reboot, but it now seems on track to be a “Monster of the Week” type show. There are interesting new things about the series, like the Frontier influenced backstory, but other than that it has a pretty formulaic episode format in some aspects. I also think the pacing between evolutions can be spaced out more. Did we really need an Ultimate (Perfect) level Digimon reveal in episode 9? I hope the series can break out of this trend. -- source link
