Each demonstrates the differences of how the form is manipulated and changed when bound with corsets. One shows a natural form while the other is shaped to conform to create a more ‘beautiful’ silhouette. The largest image is simply a documentary image showing the wrapping process of how the mold easily shows the 'new’ contours of my body. This particular photo reminds me of the work of Una Burke and Etienne Gros, especially as the wire emphasizes the curves and softness of the female body, yet through exposing it, it strives to control it. When I was wearing this, allowing the wire to mold to the contours of my body the metal felt like armour, although more for decorative purposes rather than protection. -- source link
